The year of 2010 has been an eventful year for the ceramic industry of China. From the merger between Keda and Henglitai to the anti-dumping campaign launched by the EU, from the joint venture between Sanfi and Mohawk to the listing of Louis Valentino in London, plus the Foshan Pavilion of Shanghai World Expo as a ceramic civilization case, a series of events indicate that the ceramic industry of China is actively forging ahead towards an international pattern.
Since the implementation of the Reform and Opening-up Policy, the ceramic industry of China has been developing at a tremendous speed. The management capability, production environment, product quality as well as technology and techniques of Chinese enterprises have been greatly improved and a considerable amount of profits has been achieved. This process has been facilitated by the generous help from and exchange with our counterparts in Italy.
This “Business Trip to Italy”, initiated and organized jointly by Ceramic Town Weekly, Italian Trade Commission, Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for Ceramics (ACIMAC) and Rimini Fiera, has created a new and profound way of cooperation between China and Italy in the ceramic field. It is a practical and good deed for the ceramic industries of China and Italy.
Such transnational cooperation is unprecedented. Therefore, without a concept of services for good communication between enterprises of the two countries, success is hard to imagine. So first of all, on behalf of China Ceramic Industry Association, I hereby pay tribute to both parties for their hard work.
China has the biggest production and consumption market in the world, Italy owns advanced technology and equipment, management experience, as well as the idea of design. How to share the benefit and win-win? That is what we should discuss actively .
I wish the profound cooperation between Ceramic Town Weekly and Italy’s Ceramics International, Ceramic World Review and Italian Ceramic Tile will take the lead in achieving this goal at the media level.
