China Ceramics Pioneers List (CCPL) has been reputed as the Oscar in China's ceramic industry. On 15 December 2011, The 8th CCPL Launch Ceremony and the 1st Mid-East Export Forum was held in Foshan, Guangdong. The launch ceremony attracted over 300 participants, including leadership from the production bases, personages from ceramic circles at home and abroad, rep-resentatives of tile and sanitary ware en-terprises, as well as journalists. After the ceremony, the 8th CCPL is now open for application, and the releasing ceremony will be held in late March, 2012.
Jointly initiated by China Ceramics Industrial Association (CCIA) and Ceram-ic Town Weekly (CTW) in 2004, CCPL has been successfully held for 7 times. It is by far the most authoritative and influ-ential industrial event and the one and only involving machinery and equipment, chemical raw materials, ceramic tiles, sanitary wares, distributors and other upstream and downstream enterprises, as well as individual innovations. Each year, a hundred some ceramic enterpris-es and hundreds of ceramic brands compete for the awards; dozens of in-dustrial personalities attend the cere-monies, and a number of officials and journalists are also present.
“We believe in the power of inno-vation!” With this slogan, CCPL has been accompanying the industry through storms and towards growth. Ever since the first event, the organizers have been seeking creative forms and contents to present an inspiring and high-end visu-al-audio feast for the whole industry. It is a list of innovation values, a list of wealth, as well as a general list of annual innovations throughout the industry. Its mission is to encourage "Value En-hancement Through Innovation", and to promote the prosperity of the industry.

Without exception, each award on the CCPL represents outstanding contri-bution to the development of China's ceramic industry and has gained the re-spect of the industry through innovative wisdom. Likewise, benefiting from the great influence of CCPL in China’s ce-ramic industry, a number of awarded in-novative enterprises have achieved high recognition from the industry and the society, thus creating opportunities for their growth.
CCPL is a list of values and wealth. All listed enterprises have achieved gratifying growth. KITO Ceramics was awarded the title of “Annual Best Inno-vative Enterprise" in 2004, the very year it was established. Since then it has gained rapid development in just a few years. On "China's Top 500 Most Valu-able Brands List” published last year, KITO was ranked 366th with a brand value of 2.639 billion Yuan, showing great strides forward. Gaoyao Marshal Ceramics was established in 2003, and was awarded the title of“Annual Excel-lent Innovative Enterprise”in the first CCPL event. It prospered at a tremen-dous speed from then on, and by now has developed into an enterprise group with four known brands, two production bases and dozens of world-leading pro-duction lines, creating a growth miracle of ceramic enterprises.
As a foresighted trend-revealer, CCPL has been leading the trends of the industry, particularly in terms of product innovation. All products winning annual awards for innovative products reflect independent innovation of process and advanced industrial technology, or per-form remarkably by unique designs or profit making. They are widely recog-nized by the industry and gradually be-come the trends on the market. The marble of GANI Ceramics and the Fairview Stone of KITO have, after win-ning the title of “Annual Best Innovative Product”, attracted extensive attention from the industry and gradually become the mainstream of the market, con-tributing significantly to the rapid growth of the enterprises.
CCPL focuses not only on innovation in product pattern and design, but also on innovation in production technology. It encourages increased production, energy saving and consumption reduction in ce-ramic production, and aims to realize the general trend that building ceramic prod-ucts are switching to production mode with low energy consumption, low re-sources consumption and low pollution. Building a Platform for Foreign Exchanges through Internation-al Strategies
In the high-end forum “Dragon-Tiger Talk” at the awarding ceremony of the 7th CCPL in 2011, an Italian attracted the at-tention of all those present. He was Masini, CEO of Italy SACMI Machinery Asia. He expressed his view on anti-dumping that faced China's ceramic industry, and shared experience on world trade rules with the numerous industrial elites present.
As organizer, Ceramic Town Weekly has been devoted to promoting the inter-nationalization of China’s ceramic indus-try, to link it with the international ceramic industry through global prospective and in-sight. Against the background of frequent anti-dumping campaigns against China in countries and regions in EU, East Asia and South America, in order to reinforce explo-ration of emerging markets, the organizer also held the “1st Mid-East Export Fo-rum”at the launch ceremony of the 8th CCPL. This received wide attention from the industry. The successful holding of the forum has built a solid foundation for the opening of new channels for export to Mid-dle East in 2012, and has positively encour-aged domestic ceramic enterprises to ex-plore emerging markets.
By far, CCPL has developed into the supreme platform in China’s ceramic in-dustry. It influences the direction and trends of the industry. As CCPL gains in-creasing influence in China’s ceramic in-dustry, more and more renowned enter-prises from home and abroad begin to pay attention to it and actively participate in the appraisal. The organizer also would like to build an exchange platform for enterprises at home and aboard to establish closer re-lationship.
